60th Anniversary Pop-up
THE SUPER CONNIE
RESURRECTED IN NYC
We were asked to create an eye-catching experience to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Lufthansa Airlines’ Senator Service available on board their Super Constellation aircraft known as the “Super Connie” . The “Super Connie” was the first-ever luxury transatlantic flight, so we embraced the nostalgia of the golden-age of flight, recreating the iconic first-class experience at Duarte Square Park, in Tribeca, New York. The space was modeled after the original experience and was filled with artifacts from the era including staff dress in original crew uniforms.

dressing room
“Fly Through Time” augmented reality installation took guests back to the 1950s and allowed them to virtually dress in vintage Lufthansa uniforms and passenger styles.
custom ar experience
Visitors also got to magically see the aircraft come to life with the help of new augmented reality platforms such as Apple’s augmented reality kit. We made the AR extremely accessible by providing access via supplied iPads and also by using Facebook’s augmented reality studio for guests to experience AR on their own phones making it instantly shareable across social platforms.
